Q14 Can it be installed on all vehicles?
|
A14 It can be used in all passenger cars and SUVs. For pickup trucks, it is available for the Bongo series (up to Bongo III), which uses DC12V. It is not available for mid- and large-size trucks (2.5t or heavier). |
Q13 What are the purposes of the adapter, which is separately purchased?
|
A13 The adapter, which is sold separately, is available for the bathroom, study room, studio and campsite as well as in a car. |
Q12 The temperature inside a car is very hot in summer and really cold in winter. Is it okay to leave it in the car?
|
A12 We recommend keeping the product out of direct sunlight while unused. The recommended operating temperature is 10-60°C. |
Q11 Why is this product more expensive than other air purifiers?
|
A11 In the case of low-price air purifiers (KRW 50,000 or lower), air is purified through sedimentation of pollutants by ions, not by generating negative ions. Therefore, they cannot filter hazardous substances in a small area.
The filter cartridge of Paragon Air’s car air purifier filters air by physically filtering pollutants. Therefore, it is able to purify the air in every corner of a car.
In addition to the filtering method, a 4-step UV sterilizing lamp and 5-step negative ion air purifier are included. Thus, it uses a quintuplicate filtering system. |
Q10 What performances can I expect from each filter of the quintuplicate filtering system?
|
A10 Step I: A HEPA filter adopts H12, which is higher than conventional car air filters. It is even able to remove particulate matter (up to 0.3um) that is 7 times smaller than ultra-fine particles (2.5 um) by 99.5%. It also removes formaldehyde and allergy-causing materials in the air.
Step II: An activated carbon filter removes hazardous gases in the air such as SO2 and cigarette smoke through absorption.
Step III: A nano photo-catalyst filter removes bacteria and offensive smells, prevents air pollution and purifies air.
Step IV: A UV filter sterilizes and removes bacteria that are generated when food is exposed to the air in a car.
Step V: A double negative ion generator removes dirt and sterilizes and purifies air. As a carbon-fiber, brush-type system, it generates 3 million negative ions per second. |
Q9 Ozone from negative ions, isn’t it dangerous?
|
A9 The threshold limit value for ozone set by the Ministry of the Environment is 0.05ppm.
Paragon Filter’s double negative ion generator is a carbon-fiber, brush type that is harmless, generating 0.001ppm ozone, far lower than the level (0.05ppm) set by the Ministry of the Environment. |
Q8 Any other advantages?
|
A8 The nano photo-catalyst filter (step III) and UV filter (step IV) generate synergy through interaction.
The nano photo-catalyst filter, receiving UV rays from the UV filter, forms negative electrons and positive holes. Bacteria with negative aspects adhere to the nano photo-catalyst filter. Then, they are effectively sterilized by UV rays.
This synergy is effective in removing smell and bacteria. |
Q7 What are the differences between premium and modern models?
|
A7 A premium model is greater than a modern model in terms of air volume. In addition, the former has 3 large cartridges so that it can filter faster. Furthermore, the LED lamp shows air quality with different colors. A premium model also senses the degree of air pollution and controls air volume automatically. It also has a filter replacement alarm lamp. |
Q6 Is the system safe from OIT?
|
A6 OIT was not detected in Paragon Air. The product is perfectly safe. |
Q5 A car air conditioner already has its own air purification system. What is the difference?
|
A5 A car air conditioner filter is designed to filter air flowing in from the outside. However, the space inside a car is not completely sealed. In particular, when you open the door or roll down the window, you can be directly exposed to pollutants.
Paragon Air is able to filter the air flowing in from the outside. It makes up for the air conditioner filter and keeps the air inside the car clean and refreshing. |
Q4 Does Paragon Air have any certifications?
|
A4 Paragon Air is a KC (safety certification for electrical appliances, conformity certification for broadcasting & communication equipment)-certified product. In particular, it has the results of ultra-fine particulate matter (PM 2.5) and formaldehyde filtering tests performed by the Chinese testing authority. It also passed an exhaust gas filtering test conducted by Korea Conformity Laboratories (KCL). |
Q3 What about noise?
|
A3 In Paragon Air, a fan is operated to filter air. Therefore, it can cause some noise. 36db or less (Premium Black) or less than 28db (Modern), quieter than a clock ticking. If your car is extremely quiet, this noise could be slightly noticeable. However, it is encouraging sound that lets you know that the air is being purified smoothly. |
Q2 How often should the filter be replaced?
|
A2 The Paragon Air filter needs to be replaced every 3-6 months.
For the Premium model, the time for filter replacement is automatically alerted by the red LED lamp on the left and a buzzer. |
Q1 How can I get a Paragon filter?
|
A1 Enter ‘Paragon Filter’ into a search box on NAVER, 11st Street, Auction, G-Market, Interpark and Coupang. |
